Electric Gate Repairs

Bill’s Gates likes to build long-term relationships with their customers, and we are happy to carry out the repairs to your gates, regardless of who fitted them.

We can provide repairs for breakdowns, accidental damage and even break-in attempts.

If your gates need repairing, then give us a call, and one of our electric gate specialists will be happy to book you in as soon as possible.

All repair invoices are subject to an initial £120 + VAT call-out fee, covering travel to site and 30 minutes on site, assessing or repairing the fault. Following this, we revert to a charge of £70 + VAT per hour + parts.

Electric Gate Servicing

We offer servicing contracts for gates and garage doors, adjusted to your needs. Having services regularly is an important part of ensuring that your gates and garage doors have a long and trouble-free lifespan.

Domestic use gates should be serviced annually, and multi-occupancy and commercial, schools and public houses, more frequently, depending on the specifications of the gates.

Our 12-Step Electric Gate Service Process

We follow a meticulous 12-step servicing process:

  1. Operational safety check - safety beams / resistive safety edges (batteries) / safety loops / stop buttons

  2. Control box / rotary isolator switch / antennae - inspect and clean

  3. Check all relevant parts and cables at main control panel

  4. Safety beans, warning sign and flashing light - inspect and clean

  5. Check all fasteners, hinge pins and mounting brackets

  6. Check all visible cables, glands, enclosures and junction boxes

  7. Great and lubricate moving parts

  8. Check gate leaf and motor operation and condition

  9. Risk Assessment and operational handover summary - remote key fob and gate functional condition

  10. Underground box - condition and cleanliness

  11. Box drainage functionality

  12. Check encoder / Limit switch cables
